tagged and tagged again...

Ok ...I have caved after saying I don't do the tagging thing I have finally posted one...so my apologies to all those who have tagged me in the past...

But I have been Tagged by my bestie Kell and I really liked this Tag, as its about random photos. Here is how it works.............

1. Go to the section of your computer where you store all of your photos.
2. Select the 6th folder.
3. Select the 6th photo.
4. Post and explain about that picture.
5. tag 6 other people.....

The photo is of Ashton in the garden helping Rob pull weeds...he is a month shy of 2 in the photo...how small was he...I loved this tag (memories pulled from a random moment) and I think you will too...so I tag.... Sharon, Sandie, Carole, Kirsty, Liz, Karen...

I am also awarding them these awards too...

My fellow DT member from Creative Scrappers, Sharon has given me these blog awards.

So here it goes:

Mention five (5) addictions and pass on the award to five (5) other fab blogs!

1. My Family
2. Scrapbookint
3. Blogging
4. Chocolate
5. Shopping for scrap goodies.

Couple more

I have done a couple more layouts this week...tell you my mojo has been on fire...

This layout is another of the sketches over on Inspired Blueprints... this month they had a bonus sketch and it was gorgeous so I had to do it...I shrank my version down a little to accommodate the photos...

"how cute" are photos taken at our beach house of my daughter fast asleep on the end of Ashtons bed. At the beach house they share a bedroom so the novelty of having Ash in the room was obviously too much to resist.

papers are all out of my scraps box...some kaiser & basic grey.
"jumping waves" are more of the beach trip photos...my daughter was a little unsure of the whole wave thing ...but she soon warmed up to the idea when Rob went in with her.

The papers are pink paisley, kraft and basic grey and the jb are bella.

This layout was inspired by the monthly sketch over on Bons Scraps.

Blog Challenges

"park time" is my layout for this months Puzzle Sketches...

I have been on a bit of a stash rehash lately and trying to use up some of my older stash in new ways.

These papers are left overs from an old DT kit and the KI lace cardstock I have had for 2 years now and never used.

The photo is of my 2 gorgeous ones at the park...on one of our many trips.

Wicked Princesses have a sketch ever month and "xmas 09" is my take on Januarys.

I have used multiple photos rather than colour blocking papers as I am not very good at that.

Again using up some stash last years Making Memories papers left over from the hohoho layout.

The main photo says it all really ...my kids where not interested in the food at all they just wanted to get into the pool.

"make a wish" is my take on Inspired Blueprints sketch #8.

I have used scraps again.

Love this photo of Robs birthday ...chaeck out all the pursed lips in the photo...kids love blowing out the candles don't they?

Fairly simple take on the sketch.

Boutique Sunday Roast

Here is the final challenge I did at the Scrapboutique CC this weekend...it is a blind scrap they call "Sunday Roast".

There where a list of instructions on how to pop the layout together and a couple of requirements...polkadots and black and white...

I have not done the doodling step as I don't doodle but I have stitched the layout instead.

Photos are of my 2 playing in the little houses at the "pirate park" on the East Coast.

Boutique Challenges and CC

I have been playing over at Scrapboutique this weekend as I have been fortunate enough to be able to do a bit of scrapping...my kids have been fabulous and my hubby has been home sick.

" let sleeping babies lie" is my take on the Boutique Stylist Challenges were you had to take inspiration from this picture ...

I am on a stash rehash at the moment and I found these really old basic grey papers and they where perfect so add a bit of "bring back the mesh" and I was quite please with the result.

The photo is of my son Ashton when he was tiny asleep in the car...as rare sight for him as he was not a sleeper ...hence the photo.
"Christmas Beetle" is my take on this months Stash Stompers which gives you a sketch and requires you to use up photos...now I know it appears to be only 6 on mine however the beetle photo has been layered with 3d tape ...so technically I used 7 photos...lol

The sketch for this one is a full page one but I squished mine in a bit to accommodate the photos.

The pictures are of Ashton holding his first Christmas beetle on Christmas Eve believe it or not. He was quite taken with it. Eve was not so sure...not happy with the photo exposure on this but I think it was the printing rather than my camera to be honest.
This weekend at Boutique is the cyber crop and I have managed to do 3 of the challenges... will post the blind scrap one tonight.

"our new pool" was a sketch challenge that required you to use:
summer photo/s
summer in the jounraling
Summer colours

so check to all 3 criteria...again the sketch was a full page one however I wanted to use the photo of Ash in the pool so again I downsized it.

Papers are all from my scraps...yay me!
"2 crazy dudes" was a numbers challenge set by Kate...

1 cardstock (white of course)
2 different alphas (carolees, basic grey)
3 ribbons or trims
4 circles (drawn on behind papers)
5 brads (2 lge 3 sml)
and a number on the page (in title).

So check to all the criteria on this one. Agian used my scraps for this layout...

The photos are of Ashton and Kells son, Bailey, mucking around at the Blowhole in Bicheno.

Savvy Challenges

I play over at Scrapbook Savvy every month...they have fabulous challenges...here are my layouts for this months. Mel's Savvy Scraplift was to scraplift a page by Julie Heard...

"Hohoho" is my take on it... I stayed fairly true to the origional as it is quite a step out of my usual style.

Papers are making memories (last years range) and the photo was taken by my son Ashton...the boys got talent.

"what this woman wants" is for Julie's Word It Up Challenge where the challenge was :
AFFIRMATIONS.....What is it that you're hoping this year will bring for you? What are you aiming for or hope to achieve. Take the time to write up a list and then .....scrap it!
I have handmade the flowers out of really old paper I found in the bottom of my stash. I have used Marvy giga scalloped punches to create the bottom layers and then my retro flower punch (trimmed) for the top layer.

I have used the "real friends" component of Kerryn's Ad Challenge as well as the colours in the advert as opposed to the design of it.
I have used Bella papers and cut out all the flowers...3ding them to create the flowersprays.

Some just because layouts

It is a rare occasion these days that my layout have not been inspired by a sketch or challenge in some form as I love the online world of inspiration

...but recently I went away for 4 days and I create with no criteria or sketches... using very old photos and some older stash...here is my efforts...
" the 4 of us 2007" is a photo taken on Easter Sunday 2007 ...Eve and Ash look so small and cute.

Papers are fancy pants and I even used rubons.
"the start of things" is a photo of Eve when she first started feeding herself...its yogurt.

And yes she is still this grotty!!!

I used the same Fancy pants papers as the above layout and I loved that is turned out so different.

Creative Scrappers

The design team reveal is up over on Creative Scrappers Blog... I am on the DT over there and you should take the time to check out the super inspiring sketches and work from the rest of the team.

I have used Prima papers on the layout and flowers (a prize pack from Savvy...cheers)

...and "chasing seagulls" is all about my gorgeous Eve not getting the concept of feeding the gulls...instead she ate the bread and chased them all over the beach... there was much squealing with delight.

Thanks to Mel too for the nomination of a blog award...I don't do the whole blog award thing ( as I don't know enough bloggers to pass it on...lol) so I am not posting it here however I appreciate the thought it means a lot to me.

Swaps

My Swaps for White With 1 ...the Black were from December and the Pink is for January.

Christmas layouts

Have you been over to Inspired Blueprints? They have 2 sketches a month with random draw for the prizes (which are sponsored by other sites) which means you only need to be in it to win it...

This is my take on sketch #7 ..."Jingle Bells" is photos of my gorgeous kids decorating the tree with the "gorbleballs" as Ashton calls them.

The paper is Scenic Route and the the felt star was courtesy of Lisa Balm and the little owl was courtesy of Emma Allen from swaps. Cheers girls!!
Here is my layout for the sketch over at Anna's Craft Cupboard.

"the best memories of Christmas" is about our tradition of putting out a Crown Lager and Chocolate coated Raspberries for Santa on Christmas Eve.

The papers are Teressa Collins and I love the sketch I will be using this one again.

Here is my Roadmaps layout for January was really out of my comfort zone this month as I am not good at angled photos or papers I tend to keep everything symetrical.

"Christmas" is a photo taken of my 2 beautiful ratbags just before their playgroup Christmas party ...you can see the excitement in their eyes as Santa himself was coming to the party.

Papers are old Autumn Leaves and the frame is glimmermisted to give it a little sparkle. Tickets are from the White with 1 red swap courtesy of Shandell Hawkshaw...cheers.

Bon's Scraps

This is the first layout I have created for a bon's monthly layout competition details.

You are to take inspiration from this outside room. "Diggin' for treasures" is the layout I came up with ...

I used the beach as my inspiration as I have gorgeous photos of my 2 from Bicheno and I just been dying to scrap them.

I went for a real summery feel and even added a little icypole embellishment to the page.

The papers are my favourite Sassafras Lass range it looks fabulous on summer pages especially as it matches my daughters swimmers...lol.

Happy New Year 2009 !!!

White with 1 this month is this gorgeous summery colour combination perfect for your holiday pics....

White
Turquiose
Flourishes

In "wait" I have used a BlueyeDezine flourished frame a RAK from my siter Wendy...and a photo of my kids running on the boardwalk at Seaport.

Scrap the Girls this month is inspired by a gorgeous outside room...with icecreams on a beautifully set table...

"Raspberry Grins" is the layout I created from its inspiration...

I used the colour scheme, topic (icecreams) and my gorgeous girl, Eve eating gelati at Seaport. The papers are Creative Imaginations (an old one I had in my stash)

Scrap the Boys is back and the first challenge is up.

It asks you to look at the new banner and create a layout using it for inspiration.

"Aim High" is my take...

I have used the buildings, circles, skulls and colour scheme in my take on the challenge.

The photo is of my gorgeous son, Ash looking very proud of himself after building the tower in megablocks all by himself...the one and only time he has ever been interested in them...

Papers are "be happy" Cosmo Cricket.

"Nutters" is my first sketch reveal for creative scrappers...they have the most amazing sketches and I loved creating this layout...

Papers are Sassafras Lass ...just gorgeous colours.

Photos are of my nutty family fooling around and pulling silly faces...
